Economic Impact Analysis
What is an impact analysis?
An impact study models and measures the quantitative effect of an economic change on an area. The economic change is specified by the input-output table, which is prepared by the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA).
We can calculate the economic impact at the following levels:
- A zip-code area.
- City
- County
- Statewide
What would the impact study demonstrate?
The economic impact study would predict, the number of jobs created directly, indirectly and as a result of consumer spending. It would also predict the gross output that would be created, the incomes that would be generated and the increased taxes that various levels of government would collect as a result.
